Yao Ming

At 228.6 centimetres Yao Ming is the tallest player in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and currently plays for the Houston Rockets in Texas

In 2002, he joined the Houston Rockets as a center player after five years in Chinese Basketball Association and has been selected several times to play on All-NBA teams and the NBA All-Star Games
Yao purchased his former basketball club, the Shanghai Sharks in 2009. His purchase was influenced by the club’s financial problems
